can someone tell me why there are mussels and oysters served in few restaurants in the inland Killarney, while one can't get any of them in Cork, which is a city with a port, where fishing boats are moored from time to time?
i visited Killarney today, had some great mussels and asked myself the above question.

Get lovely fresh mussels in schull , on the pier front there is a great place for fish so fresh it. Is flung off the boat and into the pot. We were there on a Sunday which was great because the country market was on at ten same time.
